03/25 kww: Spring thaw for Korea's cold war? - by BRUCE CUMINGS. The Korean problem was there before the Cold War started and it is still there after the end. The full panoply of conflict that we associate with the Cold War appeared in Korea in the last months of 1945, spawned by the division of the country at the 38th parallel just as Japan surrendered. Five years later the two sides fought one of the bloodiest, bitterest wars of this century, in which four million people died-some two million Korean and Chinese combatants, another two million civilians, north and south, and tens of thousands of Western troops who fought under the auspices of the United Nations.

03/03 kww: "Pro-Japanese and Pro-USA Traitors -
Upon collapse of the Japanese Empire, those Koreans who had worked so hard for the Japanese Empire switched their loyalty to a new master, the United States of America, which lived by the motto - "anti-communists are our friends, no questions asked of their past misdeeds". The Korean quislings became, overnight, ardent "anti-communist" Uncle Toms in Korea. Rhee Syngman, a long time Uncle Tom and a psychotic hater of communists, was empowered by the US military in Korea and the former pro-Japanese traitors rallied around Rhee and became the main vanguards of Rhee's corrupt, brutal dictatorship.

03/01 kww: 708 Pro-Japanese Traitors Exposed
A Concerned Group of National Assembly Members - For the first time in the republic's long history, an informal group of current members of the national assembly, from both ruling and opposition parties, stood together and made public a list of 708 pro-Japanese traitors. Some 53 years ago, a committee empowered to do the same task was forced to abort the task under fire by pro-Japanese forces empowered by the US military government of Korea. The new committee took off where the ill-fated old committee left.
The Second Declaration of Independence Campaign Proposed - No future for Korea as long as we dance to foreign tunes Bush's irresponsible loose lips labeling North Korea an "axis of evil" have brought back war phobia to the Korean Peninsula. Wars in Korea by and for foreign interests are all too familiar to the Korean people. Let us recall how we lost our nationhood about a century ago to foreign intrigues.
